These cupcakes were for one of my bestest friends daughter.  Its her 9th birthday today!  She is nicknamed monkey so its only natural we do monkey face cupcakes for her.  Happy Birthday Maddie!!

Thomas' treasure hunt

The request for this cake was that Thomas enjoyed Treasure hunts and Fred (dad) enjoyed fishing.  I suggested with do a layer for both making it a treasure island in the water. 

Argh! Matey

A friend referred me to a friend of hers who was looking for a pirate cake for her daughters birthday.  She knew the exact cake she wanted but wanted it to be a little more girly.  This cake was fun!

Everybody in the hot tub!

A dear friends husband was having the birthday blahs so she celebrated with a non party party.  I was very excited when she asked me to do the cake and this is what we came up with!

Its been awhile....

Life has been crazy but we see the light at the end of the tunnel and this blog is a step in that direction.  As most of you know I am in school for accounting.  I know, I know, why accounting?  Well it will serve the purpose of helping me get a professional job and hopefully in the near future help me run a successful bake shop. 

That is my dream.  I have always been in the kitchen and loved trying all kinds of new recipes.  I found my specialty in cake decorating, I think mainly because of all the art and drafting courses I have taken in high school and college. 

So this is the first step of my dream.  I will share the cakes I've been doing, along with recipes I have found that friends and family have enjoyed from my kitchen.
